I’m Chanelle Coleman Wesley, an EmpowerHER Strategist, best-selling author, international speaker, and the creator of the She Said Yes to Herself Unapologetically platform.

 

I'm also the mother of six beautiful children and three wonderfully amazing grandchildren. They are my greatest "why", my daily reminder of God's grace towards me, that my legacy begins at home, and that my purpose extends far beyond what I can see.

 

Today, I help women walk boldly and live life without apology, but I didn't start there.

 

As a survivor of abuse and someone who has battled self-doubt and sabotage, I know what it feels like to wrestle with your own potential. For years, I kept Chanelle 2.0 locked inside, too afraid to take decisive action.

My breaking point came after being dealt a series of life-altering cards, culminating with the loss of my beloved daughter Taniyah, In that season of pain, I began to rationalize how my surviving children might be better off without me. But it was the plea of my oldest daughter, Tatiyahna, "Mama, we need you," that became my lifeline.

 

I'm alive today for two reasons: my surviving children and intercessory prayer. When I couldn't pray for myself, I had a community of people covering me in prayer.  This season taught me two things: transition never happens in a comfortable place and nothing changes if nothing changes,
